The Big Rich Texas reality television show is produced by Fly on the Wall Entertainment and broadcast on the Style cable network. Merah Chung serves as executive producer for the show filmed in the Dallas and Fort Worth regions of Texas. The show concerns five wealthy women in Texas with their daughters at an exclusive country club over the summer season.

Dr. Bonnie Blossman and her daughter, Whitney Whatley, are featured on the show. Dr. Bon, as she is called, is a developmental physiologist. Also an adjunct professor, she was honored with an award for excellence in teaching in 2003 from the University of Texas at Arlington. She teaches Principles of Biology I and II, Parasitology, Biochemistry, Gene Expression, Contemporary Biology and Anatomy and Physiology I and II. She is also an accomplished fiction writer and the CEO of an international publishing firm specializing in murder mysteries, as well as a recording artist.

Whitney Whatley is Dr. Bon's daughter and a Texas native. The college student spent many years training in dance, cheerleading, voice and gymnastics. Whitney has earned many dance titles and childhood beauty pageants. In addition, she won the Texas State Champion cheerleader award in both 2004 and 2005. Her future plans include earning a Bachelor of Science degree and then pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree that specializes in Dermatology and Plastic Surgery.

Cast member Connie Dieb and her daughter, Grace Connie, are originally from Seattle, but they have resided in Texas for nearly thirty years. They live in the Park Cities region of Dallas and Connie owns the Uptown Consignment Fine Apparel Shop with sister, Camille. In Dallas, she is also a styling consultant.

Leslie Birkland and goddaughter, Kalyn Leslie, are cast member Connie Dieb's cousins. A former model, Leslie currently coaches beauty pageant contestants. She owns multiple homes in the country, but makes Dallas her home. Goddaughter, Kalyn, is competing in pageants, so Leslie devotes some of her time supporting her. She also coaches multiple clients, while operating a busy real estate business.

Melissa Poe and 15 year old daughter, Maddie, have been cast members on the show since it began. Melissa stopped a flourishing modeling career to raise Maddie. Melissa is very vocal about eating disorders she had to keep thin while modeling. She makes every effort to prevent that from happening to her daughter. Melissa has adopted a healthy diet to lose some weight, however, it has been said that she can easily compete with women half her age should she decide to go back to modeling.

LeeAnne Locken was a Miss USA finalist. Born in Pasadena, Texas, she was raised by grandparents in the Houston region. While living in the Los Angeles area, she developed a passion for acting. She currently lives in Dallas, where she hosts television shows, makes films and serves on the Women In Film board. Her comedy talents garnered one of her commercials recognition as part of the ABC Network's "America's Funniest Commercials."

The third season of the Big Rich Texas reality TV show series is filming currently and slated to premiere in September of 2012.
