Ep 20. My Fair Emma

Ben Wheeler, a young bachelor living in New York City, suddenly becomes a father after his ex-girlfriend drops off their baby at his doorstep. Along with the help of his mother Bonnie, his brother Danny, his best friend Tucker, and his occasional fling and co-worker Riley, the group navigates the ups and downs of raising a child while also dealing with their own personal lives.

In season 5 episode 20, titled "My Fair Emma," the group is thrown into chaos after Emma's mother Angela unexpectedly returns wanting custody of her daughter. Angela, who has not been seen or in contact since dropping off Emma with Ben five years ago, tries to prove to everyone that she is now in a better place to take care of her daughter.

This episode sees the return of several familiar faces, including the Wheeler's previously estranged father Ray, and their neighbor Ms. Gilcrest. Ray's presence causes tension between Bonnie and Brad, as they must face the unresolved issues of their past together.

Meanwhile, Danny is determined to win a role in the local community theater production of "My Fair Lady," but quickly realizes he may not be cut out for the stage. Tucker also struggles with his own insecurities as he tries to impress a girl he's been dating.

As Emma's custody hangs in the balance, the group must come together to decide what is best for the little girl they have all grown to love and care for. But with Angela's newfound sobriety and stability, the decision is not easy.

Throughout the episode, the group has deep conversations about what it means to be a parent and the sacrifices that come with it. The episode is full of heartfelt moments, as well as some comedic relief provided by Tucker's attempts at wooing his girlfriend and Danny's disastrous audition.
